Research

Chemistry plays a vital key in sustainability as we meet the many challenges facing society today including adequate clean air and water, sufficient food and energy for the planet, and new medicines that solve current health care problems.  In our laboratory, we discover better pathways to make chemicals using green chemistry tools, make new materials to harvest solar energy, synthesize green catalysts to make biofuels, and use sunlight to degrade harmful pollutants among many other efforts to support a sustainable planet.
